With funding from Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD); LHL International, Paradiso TB Patients Trust, and National Organisation of Nurses and Midwives of Malawi (NONM) were awarded a project: Filling the gap; finally addressing Post TB disability. The Overall objective of the project is to reduce the burden of TB by meeting the rights and needs of people with post TB disabilities in Malawi. The project is targeting Post TB survivors and the problems they face that limits them in participating in everyday activities in society. The project was developed based on other studies conducted on post TB both in Malawi and outside Malawi. This approach is a Holistic package of care and support for post TB disability clients/patients. Disability in the project is an umbrella term that includes impairment, activity limitations and participation restriction.
