Paradiso TB Patients Trust, with the support of Moreen Luba, has extended a helping hand of nutritional support to vulnerable people in Chikungu Village by providing essential food items such as maize and other necessities. The assistance reached seven individuals, including two people with disabilities, reflecting the inclusiveness of this initiative. These individuals were among those struggling with hunger and lacking food in their homes. The food distribution event was held in the village newly bult school and attended by Group Village Headman Chikungu, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to Paradiso TB Patients Trust and Moreen Luba for their support. “This is the first time our village has received such help. We have many vulnerable people here, and this initiative gives us hope,” he said. The village leader also highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by many residents. “There are still many people in my village who lack basic necessities and knowledge about TB. This support is a significant step forward,” he added.
In his closing remarks, Group Village Headman Chikungu pledged the community’s support to Paradiso TB Patients Trust and promised to be volunteers under Paradiso. “We are ready to work with Paradiso to ensure our people have access to TB information and support. This partnership is vital for improving the well-being of our community,” he said.
